About Us

David R. Mack, DDS

A native of Aberdeen, SD, Dr. Mack earned his dental degree from UNMC College of Dentistry after completing his bachelor’s degree from the University of South Dakota. He maintains memberships in the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine and holds Invisalign® Preferred Provider status.

Dr. Mack has a passion for learning advanced dental concepts and treatment and takes many postgraduate continuing education courses each year. He has received extensive training in short-term orthodontics, aesthetic dentistry, and sleep disorders, including snoring and sleep apnea. Currently, Dr. Mack is completing the Clinical Mastery Series curriculum which focuses on cosmetic dentistry in conjunction with managing TMJ/TMD disorders. He is now focusing much of his attention on the rapidly growing area of dental implants.

Dr. Mack has been serving Bellevue and the surrounding communities since 2002 at his current location. He, and his wife, Katie, have 3 daughters who keep them busy outside the office with volleyball, dance, gymnastics, and golf. The Mack family are also animal lovers who have many pets. Outside work and the busy world of family activities, Dr. Mack enjoys golf, traveling, and Husker athletics.

Patrick Wachter, DDS

Dr. Patrick Wachter hails from Omaha, where he graduated from Creighton University School of Dentistry in 2013. He completed a one-year general practice residency at the University of Nebraska Medical Center and Veteran’s Hospital and was a private practice dentist for four years before joining our team at Family Dentistry of Bellevue.

Dr. Wachter enjoys all aspects of general dentistry and has a special interest in root canals and oral surgery. He is committed to ongoing continuing education and is also a part-time faculty member at Creighton University School of Dentistry.

In 2017, Dr. Wachter received the prestigious Fellowship Award through the Academy of General Dentistry.  He is also a member of the following professional organizations:

• American Dental Association
• Nebraska Dental Association
• Omaha Dental District Society

Dr. Wachter is married to Chelsea and they have a two-year-old daughter. In his spare time, Dr. Wachter enjoys spending time with family and friends, exercising, and either watching or attending various sporting events.

Beth

Beth brings nearly twenty years of dental experience along with her special brand of skilled, friendly care. She joined our team in 2007 and holds a Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene from the University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Dentistry.

Beth enjoys getting to know her patients and helping them work to improve their oral health. Originally from Kearney, Beth, her husband, and their two daughters now live in Papillion. In her spare time, she teaches kickboxing and enjoys running.

Stephanie

Stephanie was born and raised in Omaha and pursued her passion in dentistry by receiving her Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene from University of Missouri Kansas City in 2015. Stephanie enjoys helping patients feel comfortable with their smiles and she values building relationships with every single patient.

When Stephanie isn’t crafting or exercising, she enjoys time spent at her family’s cabin with her husband, Brian, and son, Beau.

Nickie

Nickie was born and raised in Iowa. In 2001 she graduated with her Associates of Applied Science in Dental Hygiene from Iowa Western Community College associated with Creighton Dental School. Nickie’s favorite part of being a hygienist is helping her patients achieve optimal oral health.

Nickie spends her free time watching her kids’ sporting events, listening to music and enjoying the outdoors.

Christy

Christy is from the Omaha area and has been a dental assistant for more than 20 years. Her favorite aspect of her job is the wonderful patients she meets and helps each day as well as the amazing Family Dentistry of Bellevue team she feels privileged to work with.

Christy has been happily married to her husband Craig for 30 years, and they share two children and one grandbaby. In her free time, Christy enjoys spending time with family and friends, going to flea markets, and of course, watching the Huskers!

Gwendolyn

Gwendolyn is the newest member of our Bellevue dental team but brings two decades of dental experience with her. She completed the dental assisting program at Galen College in 1995, and enjoys working with her coworkers, dentists, and patients to create a welcoming and supportive dentistry environment.

Originally from California, Gwendolyn enjoys serving her community with exceptional dental care. In her free time, Gwendolyn spends with family and friends. She especially enjoys spending time with her new grandbaby, Cade.

Kelly

Kelly entered the dental field in 2001 and became one of Dr. Mack’s first dental assistants in 2002. She loves working with Dr. Mack and our team to make patients feel welcome and comfortable throughout care. Kelly is always happy to help wherever she can and has completed additional training in radiography and coronal polishing to better serve her patients.

Originally from Omaha, Kelly is happily married to her husband Brent. She enjoys spending time with her friends and big (growing) family. They have a busy house full of kids, love, and laughter.

Jen

Jen has been in the dentistry field for 14 years. She attended Creighton University for instruction in radiographs and coronal polishing and holds an Associates in Science from the College of St. Mary’s. Her favorite thing about her job is getting to know each patient on a personal level and helping them reach and keep optimal oral health.

Jen has been married to Brandon for 14 years, and their family includes kids Ben and Sam and a houseful of foster animals. She values her faith, family, and friends. In her leisure time, Jen enjoys experiencing her little family’s “firsts”. She also enjoys shopping at Target, running, traveling, doing all things outdoorsy, and rooting for the Minnesota Vikings, Twins, and Gophers.

Rachel

Rachel believes in making every visit to the dentist an enjoyable experience for her patients. Her warm demeanor puts even the most nervous patients at ease, brightening smiles and bringing joy to our patients with her amazing sense of humor and jokes.

Rachel’s love for nature and animals – especially cats – has always been a big part of her life. When she’s not working at the dental practice, you might find her exploring the great outdoors and giving back to the community as she volunteers with her boyfriend. Should you ever find yourself sitting across from Rachel to play a game of Uno, know that Rachel is an avid player and has never lost a game in her entire life.

Elizabeth

Elizabeth is dedicated to helping patients make the most of their dental insurance investment. She joined our team in 2015 with a decade of experience in the dental field. Always happy to help any way she can, Elizabeth has become a patient favorite.

Originally from Colorado, Elizabeth enjoys traveling with her family in their RV, and spending time outside walking her two dogs, riding bikes, and traveling home to see family. She also loves football— especially rooting for her Denver Broncos.
